One-way ultrasonic mirror

Goal: Create one-way ultrasonic mirror

Description: Passive anisotropic ultrasonic structure that allows transmission of select frequencies of sound in one direction, but forbids or significantly retards transmission of the same frequencies in the reverse direction.

Applications: Acoustic cavity, one-way mirror, signal filtering, Saser (Sonic Laser)

Process: Conceptualized using FDTD software, analytical model using perturbation theory, fabricated proof-of-concept completed and testing with CW Ultrasonic spectroscopy.
